The organic catalysis team is very pleased to announce its arrival on September 1st, 2021 at the University of Strasbourg in the UMR LIMA located at the ECPM.

In the continuity of our previous activities in Marseille (https://ism2.univ-amu.fr/en-gb/user/2232), our team is interested in many fields involving homogeneous organic catalysis and related methodologies:

Enantioselective Synthesis of Atropisomers using Organocatalysis
– Synthesis of axially chiral compounds by combining enantioselective organocatalysis and central-to-axial conversion of chirality
– Design of more eco-compatible reaction conditions for central-to-axial conversion of chirality
– Applications to the synthesis of natural and/or bioactive atropisomers, and for ligand design
– Studies on the dearomatization of atropisomers

Halogen-Bonding Organocatalysis
– Design of organocatalysts combining halogen-bonding with hydrogen-bonding
– Design of new heteroatom-based halogen bond donors
– Application to innovative (enantioselective) transformations
